Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy

You may have found your way here because something within you is ready to shift.

Perhaps you’re seeking greater well-being, personal or spiritual growth, or relief from emotional pain. Maybe you’re drawn to connect more deeply with nature, explore creative insights, or experience the profound sense of unity that psilocybin can awaken. Whatever brings you, this work invites you into a deeper relationship—with yourself, your story, and the world around you.

My approach to psilocybin-assisted therapy is relational. I believe healing happens through connection—within ourselves, in friendships, between partners, and across generations. Psychedelic experiences often bring forth powerful imagery, ancestral themes, and new perspectives on love, balance, and belonging. They can open access to a felt sense of knowing, clarity, and perspective that traditional talk therapy alone doesn’t always reach.

This work isn’t always easy. It can stir discomfort or bring up emotions that feel raw or unfamiliar—and yet, this is often where growth and transformation take root. Still, healing doesn’t have to be only heavy; it can be light, joyful, beautiful, and even playful.

Most of us have relational patterns that need to shift, or past experiences that need more attention and care. Through this work, many people find themselves reclaiming their joy, vitality, and their place in the world.

I will walk beside you as you connect with your inner wisdom—the part of you that already knows what needs to be felt, witnessed, and honored. Together, we uncover meaning within your experiences so that insight becomes integration, and transformation ripples outward into everyday life.

What to Expect

Safe and meaningful psychedelic experiences rely on three essential phases: preparation, administration, and integration. Together, these protocols create a grounded framework that supports insight, healing, and long-term change.

Preparation

Preparation sessions lay the foundation for meaningful and safe journeys. We clarify intentions, explore your personal and relational history, and discuss practical and emotional readiness. This phase helps you approach the experience with grounded curiosity and the information you need to feel fully prepared.
In many ways, preparation is like standing at the river’s edge—learning the currents, feeling the temperature, and deciding when you’re ready to step in. You can always add more preparation sessions until you feel confident and supported to move ahead.

Administration

During a guided psilocybin session, you are supported in a safe, nurturing environment designed to foster trust and openness. I accompany you throughout the journey, offering presence and attunement rather than direction—walking beside you as you explore your inner world.
This part of the process is like entering the river itself—allowing the current to carry you where it needs to go. The medicine often reveals what you most need to see, feel, or experience. At times the water may be calm, at others turbulent, but each bend holds wisdom and possibility.

Integration

Integration is where insight becomes transformation. In the days and weeks following your journey, we meet to help you weave your experiences into daily life. We translate imagery and emotion into meaning, identify shifts in relationships, and anchor newfound clarity into embodied change.
If the session is the river, integration is the moment you come to shore—reflecting on where you’ve been, what you’ve seen, and what you’ll carry forward. It’s how you bring the river’s lessons into the landscape of your everyday life, ensuring that the journey continues long after the medicine experience itself.

Common Questions

How can I verify a natural medicine provider’s license? All licensed facilitators and clinical facilitators in Colorado must be registered with the state’s regulatory body. You can verify a facilitator’s license by checking the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Natural Medicine Program website. To look up a licensed facilitator: 1.Visit the Colorado DORA License Lookup. 2.Choose “Natural Medicine” from the drop-down menu. 3.Enter the facilitator’s name or license number. 4.Confirm that their license is active and in good standing.

Is psilocybin therapy legal in Colorado? Yes. Psilocybin-assisted therapy is legal in Colorado under the Natural Medicine Health Act (Proposition 122/SB290). Within this regulated model, psilocybin is only available at licensed healing centers with licensed facilitators. Personal possession and use are decriminalized in limited circumstances, but only licensed facilitators operating in licensed centers can provide legal psilocybin services.

Can you accept insurance for psilocybin-assisted therapy? Not at this time. Psilocybin-assisted therapy is not a covered service under major health insurance plans. All psilocybin-assisted services—including preparation, administration, and integration sessions—must be self-pay. If you would like ongoing psychotherapy (preparatory or integration sessions) separate from psilocybin administration, and you have insurance, we may be able to use your benefits for those sessions. Please inquire about this during your intake.

How can I know if I am a good candidate for psilocybin-assisted therapy? I will provide a comprehensive screening to determine if psilocybin is a safe and appropriate option for you. Here are some examples for when psilocybin may not be a good option: •A history of psychosis, bipolar I disorder, or schizophrenia •Certain cardiovascular conditions or unstable medical issues •Current use of medications that strongly interact with psilocybin (such as MAOIs, Lithium) We can review everything together.

How will this be different than taking magic mushrooms with friends? While a recreational experience with friends can definitely be meaningful—and sometimes even therapeutic—the intention, structure, and level of support are very different in a facilitated therapeutic journey. Recreational use is generally social and outward-focused. In a therapeutic session, the experience is intentionally directed inward. You’ll use an eye mask and headphones with a carefully curated playlist to support a deep, immersive process, and I’ll be there as a trained facilitator to help you feel safe, steady, and fully supported throughout. The goal isn’t just to have an experience, but to create space for healing, growth, and meaningful integration in a clinically grounded way.

Where will my psilocybin session take place? Your administration session will occur at a licensed natural medicine healing center. These centers operate under strict state regulations to ensure safety, comfort, and compliance. Your preparation and integration sessions may take place in a therapy office, virtually, or at the healing center, depending on your individual plan and needs.

What are the potential benefits of psilocybin-assisted therapy? Emerging research and client experiences suggest that psilocybin can help: •Reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD •Ease end-of-life distress •Support grief, existential exploration, or spiritual growth •Improve self-compassion and emotional regulation •Deepen connection with self, others, and nature While results vary, many people report meaningful insights and lasting shifts in perspective and well-being.

How safe is psilocybin? When facilitated in a legal, supportive, and supervised environment, psilocybin is considered physiologically safe and non-addictive. Research suggests that psilocybin has a low risk of physical harm compared to many other substances. However, it can bring forward intense emotional and psychological experiences, which is why screening, preparation, and integration are essential components of care. During your intake, we’ll review your medical and mental health history to ensure this is an appropriate and safe option for you.

What if I have a “bad trip”? It’s common for difficult emotions or visions to arise during a journey, and these moments are often an important part of the healing process. Rather than calling it a “bad trip,” we refer to it as a “challenging experience,” which more accurately reflects its potential for insight and growth. Your facilitator is trained to help you stay grounded, breathe through intensity, and find meaning in what unfolds. Many participants discover that their most challenging moments ultimately lead to the most profound personal transformation.

How will I be supported before, during, and after the experience? 1. Preparation: We’ll spend time clarifying your intentions, discussing what to expect, and exploring grounding and emotional regulation tools. 2. Administration session: You’ll be supported in a calm, comfortable space with licensed facilitator(s) present throughout the entire journey. 3. Integration: In the days and weeks following, we’ll meet to process insights and help you apply what you’ve learned in practical, sustainable ways. Integration is where lasting change takes root.

Do you accept clients from out of state? Yes. Clients from outside Colorado are more than welcome to participate! However, the administration sessions must take place within the state of Colorado. We can discuss travel logistics, preparation, and integration options to support your process.
