MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY, PLLC
CONSULTATION/SUPERVISION WITH DARAN
My supervision philosophy draws from systemic/relational, intersectional, affirmative, and social justice frameworks. I believe that great supervision/consultation hinges largely on the relationship we collaboratively develop. For both early career clinicians and seasoned therapists, I hope to empower you while expanding your repertoire along the way. Working from a relational framework of Self in Systems, I will help you to consider how you influence the system (client) in which you are engaged in. I am firmly committed to creating an environment where you are free to take risk and to step in to your potential as a clinician.
I also provide specialized supervision/consultation to expand your competency to work specifically with LGBTQIA+ populations. Working with gender expansive/transgender individuals and their families can sometimes be complex. How do we help families attune to their LGBTQ kids? How do adults or youth make decisions regarding transition? And how can we support them? Additionally, if you as a clinician identify as LGBTQIA+, there may be specific considerations around social locations, identity management, and disclosures in the therapy room. These are the areas in which I have extensive first-hand knowledge and experience. Ultimately, my goal is to use my roles as supervisor/consultant/trainer and clinician to increase affirmative spaces. Join me for ongoing supervision/consultation or for a one-time consultation.
