MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY, PLLC
About Daran
For more than 15 years, I’ve dedicated my personal and professional life to creating spaces where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. I’m drawn to helping clients through life’s meaningful transitions—grief and loss, divorce, separation, empty nest, or retirement—and to walking alongside those exploring identity, purpose, and belonging. I’m especially passionate about supporting gender-expansive and LGBTQIA+ clients as they navigate change, deepen relationships, and embrace their most authentic selves.
Licensed in both Colorado and New York, I bring a wealth of experience as a clinical member and approved supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). I also hold licensure in Colorado as a Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitator in Training, expanding my practice to include psychedelic preparation, facilitation, and integration work within a legal and ethical framework.
My work has included leadership at Harbor Camps, a summer program for transgender and gender-expansive youth, as well as teaching roles at Fairfield University and Syracuse University. I’ve trained clinicians, graduate students, and healthcare providers in gender-affirming care, and contributed to the field through publications—including AAMFT’s clinical guidelines for LGBTQIA-affirming marriage and family therapy.
I believe that healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world. It would be an honor to walk with you as you reconnect with meaning, presence, and your own capacity to heal.
