MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY, PLLC
About Daran
For over 15 years, I have dedicated my personal and professional life to creating affirming and inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I am especially passionate helping clients navigate life’s most challenging transitions, including loss, grief, divorce, separation, empty nest, and retirement. My expertise also lies in working with gender-expansive and LGBTQIA+ clients, supporting them through life transitions, relationship growth, and the journey of embracing their authentic selves. I am committed to guiding you as you process your emotions, discover meaning, and rebuild your life with empowerment.
Licensed in both Colorado and New York, I bring a wealth of experience as a clinical member and approved supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). My work includes leadership at Harbor Camps, a summer program for transgender and gender-expansive youth, as well as teaching roles at Fairfield University and Syracuse University. I’ve trained clinicians, graduate students, and healthcare providers in gender-affirming care across various settings and provide consultation and supervision for mental health professionals.
In addition to my clinical work, I’ve contributed to the field through publications, including articles, book chapters, and most recently, clinical guidelines for LGBTQIA-affirming marriage and family therapy published by AAMFT.
I would be honored to support you on your journey. Let’s connect and work together to create a more affirming, empowered, and authentic life for you.
